Bio: Kai DuBose loves houses and people. After years of others telling Kai she would be great in real estate, she decided to listen to them. Raised in Teaneck, New Jersey, Kai fell in love with tree-lined streets, diverse schools and a close proximity to NYC at a very early age. Kai first learned about the amazing towns that remind her so much of her hometown along what is now the Mid-town Direct train line, during her undergraduate years at Seton Hall University. Kai and her husband Scorey, after living 16 years in Delaware, decided to “come home” and move to the Maplewood area with their four children in 2017. Her family immediately immersed themselves into the rich and dynamic community this area is known for. Kai has a wealth of personal experience buying, selling and even building two custom homes in Delaware. Kai knows how exciting the process of buying and selling is. She understands how crucial details are in all aspects of a transaction. Most importantly, Kai possesses the patience, integrity and compassion paramount to the practice of real estate. Kai brings her professional experience from the legal field. A graduate of Boston College Law School, Kai worked in art and entertainment during and after law school. Kai also had the unique experience of working as a law clerk in a high-volume tenancy and small claims court in Bergen County and is a trained mediator. Kai holds a Masters in elementary education. Kai’s most important role is wife and mother to four children. She uses her professional and personal experiences in her daily life and has been a very active volunteer in all of the communities she has resided. Kai is passionate about working with people. She loves the connections she makes with each encounter. Kai is dedicated to helping others write their next life chapter and knows first-hand how renting, buying, and selling hold a powerful place in those chapters.
